Everyday Heroes (2016)
Exploring the local impact of mass incarceration and the “Everyday Heroes” working to end it.
Rudolofo Diaz, East New York
YNY participants of the East New York project identified mass incarceration as a major issue that has impacted their neighborhood in complex ways. In response they sought to highlight the “everyday heroes” in their community—the people who dedicate their lives to keeping East New Yorkers safe and out of jail.
Exhibitions of the work were held at Carnegie Hall and at East New York Department Of Probation.
